Kélonia is a public aquarium and observatory specializing in marine turtles in Saint-Leu, Réunion. It was built on the site of a former turtle ranch that exploited turtles for their meat, oil and shell from 1977 to 1994. In 1994, the ranch was converted into a conservation and rehabilitation center for injured or sick turtles.
